To honor America’s best athletes and help fans cheer them on, Chipotle is reprising its Olympics gold foil wrapper starting July 25 — a day before the 2024 Summer Olympics opening ceremony in Paris. The gold wrapper will be available in all locations nationwide and used in France for the first time: Gold foil burritos will be served at Chipotle’s six restaurants across Paris and one restaurant in Lyon. Originally debuted in summer 2021 for the 2020 Summer Games in Tokyo, Chipotle’s rare gold burrito wrapper became a fast hit thanks to its glitzy appeal. Chipotle Is Investing $100 Million in the Future of Food — and Is Open to Your Ideas This year, Chipotle partnered with Olympic athletes and is offering their go-to orders in the mobile app. Chipotle customers can eat like basketball player Anthony Edwards, soccer player Sophia Smith, tennis player Taylor Fritz, beach volleyball player Sara Hughes, and skateboarder Jagger Eaton. The Anthony Edwards Bowl: Half chicken, half steak, brown rice, fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, and lettuceThe Sophia Smith Burrito: Chicken, brown rice, light black beans, light pinto beans, fresh tomato salsa, tomatillo-red chili salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, sour cream, and cheeseThe Taylor Fritz Bowl: Double chicken, white rice, sour cream, cheese, and guacThe Sara Hughes Burrito: Double steak, white rice, black beans, cheese, and lettuceThe Jagger Eaton Burrito: Chicken, white rice, black beans, tomatillo red-chili salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, cheese, guac, and lettuce “Every one of our Team Chipotle athletes has had a unique journey,” said Chris Brandt, chief brand officer at Chipotle. “By highlighting their stories and how Chipotle has been a key component of their training regimens, we hope to inspire and fuel the next generation of great American athletes.” For nutrition and flavor, it appears that Olympians stick with burritos and bowls. The Anthony Edwards Bowl is filled with half chicken, half steak, brown rice, fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, and lettuce; and The Taylor Fritz Bowl combines double chicken, white rice, sour cream, cheese, and guac. For burritos, The Sara Hughes Burrito is a protein-heavy order of double steak, white rice, black beans, cheese, and lettuce; and The Sophia Smith Burrito uses chicken, brown rice, light black beans, light pinto beans, fresh tomato salsa, tomatillo-red chili salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, sour cream, and cheese. Spice lovers may lean into the Jagger Eaton Burrito stuffed with chicken, white rice, black beans, tomatillo red-chili salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, cheese, guac, and lettuce. These orders seem a lot different from what the athletes can expect to eat in the Olympic ViIllage. Here’s the Secret to Getting Bigger Portions at Chipotle Chipotle’s burritos will automatically be served in gold foil during the Olympics (while supplies last), no special changes or additions are necessary to any order to get the shiny wrapper. Chipotle is hardly the only American food brand getting into the Olympic spirit this season. Reese’s added a new Olympics-inspired peanut butter cup this summer. Limited edition Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Medals redesign the classic peanut butter cup as a medal with a ribbon, for a sweet treat to enjoy while cheering on Olympians in Paris. Cracker Jack also partnered with Olympians, Paraolympians, and Olympic hopefuls as part of its Cracker Jill campaign, an annual initiative to sponsor and promote girls and women in sports. This summer, wheelchair basketball star Lindsey Zurbrugg became the first ever female athlete pictured on a bag of Cracker Jacks. Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback! Tell us why!
